the Century Ride that includes some of the areas “greatest hits” – our majestic Great Rivers, two major universities, three parks, two ferry crossings, historic Route 66, five trails and the Gateway Arch. Return to Trailhead Brewing Co. for brews and food.

 BikeMO 2008: Fall Foliage Extravaganza

location: Holts Summit is located five miles north of Jefferson City on US Hwy 54. The ride begins and ends at the Holts Summit Plaza shopping at the Route AA/OO exit off of US Hwy 54. The street address is 154 W Simon Blvd, Holts Summit, MO 65043
description: The Missouri Bicycle Federation works hard to make our state a better place for nonmotorized users, especially bicyclists. Their biggest fund-raiser, BikeMO 2008, is coming up on Saturday October 18th in Holt’s Summit, Missouri. BikeMO offers Century, Metric Century (62 mile), Half-Metric (32 mile), and Quarter-Metric (17 mile) routes in the beautiful rural countryside of Callaway County.

 Wilderness Adventure Hike It or Bike It

location: Missouri Research Park, St. Charles, MO 63304
description: The Great Rivers Greenway District is celebrating the completion of a trail spur from Missouri Research Park to the Katy Trail with a Hike It or Bike It event.
The natural wilderness setting of the spur trail includes forest and wetland ecosystems. The trail features boardwalk access for walkers and bikers and is “benched” into the side of a slope supported by impressive retaining walls. The grade is designed to provide excellent disabled access. Come out and explore this accessible wilderness in your own backyard!
The Hike It route is out and back on the trail, choose your route length. The Bike It route length is 5 or 10 miles, with the option of continuing farther on your own on the Katy Trail. SAG (service and gear) support ends at 5:00 pm.

directions: From highway 40/64 West (toward Wentzville), exit at Missouri Research Park Drive, Exit #11 (first exit past Daniel Boone Bridge). Bear right and cross over the overpass and enter Missouri Research Park. Look for signs to the trail entrance between Missouri Bluff Golf Course and the Duckett Creek Sanitary District.
