2010 Ride the Rivers Century Bicycle Ride
Sunday, October 10
Registration: 6:30 – 7:30 AM

Route: The Ride the Rivers Century Route is a big ring around the bi-state region that includes paved roads and trails. Starting in St. Charles it goes across the Page Ave Extension bike trail to Creve Coeur Park. It travels on the bike path around the park and starts heading towards downtown St. Louis. Once downtown it connects with the Riverfront Trail and goes North to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge crossing over to Illinois. From there it travels to Alton, and eventually the Brussels Ferry (no fee.) It crosses Calhoun County and then onto the Golden Eagle Ferry (included in ride fee) before making its way back to the finish at Ameristar Casino. Maps will be provided when you register/sign in the morning of the ride. Helmets are strongly recommended.

Rest Stops: There are five rest stops along the route. One is the main lunch rest stop, which will take place in Alton at approximately the 60 mile mark. The other four stops (at miles 25, 43, 75 and 90) will have snacks, fruit, a sport drink and water. All will have bathrooms or porto potties available.

SAG Support: The support vans will run from 6:30am – 6:00pm. If you plan to start at 6:30am, you will want to have lights on your bike. Same for if you think you will finish late.

Registration: Registration starts at 6:30am and closes promptly at 7:30am. Register anytime in this hour and then start - there is no mass start for the ride. Pre-Register ($45) until Thursday, September 30.

Thanks to our sponsors including Great Rivers Greenway, in partnership with Big Shark Bicycle Company, The Confluence Partnership, St. Louis Public Radio, Pfoodman and Trailhead Brewing Company.
