In the Spring of 2009, Trailnet partnered with the City of Chesterfield to begin work on a plan that would guide the City in the development of a bicycle and pedestrian network, creating safe, convenient places for residents, employers and visitors to walk and bike.

On March 15, 2010, Chesterfield officially adopted the Bikeable Walkable Community Plan, signifying their commitment to creating a healthier, more active community.
