Riverfront Trail Rides

Start: Meet at the Parking Garage at Lucas and Leonor K Sullivan, north of Washington Ave. Secure parking for $1, get coupon from SAG van.
Routes: Choices of 7 – 27 miles
Terrain: Flat, with a few small hills
Features: Scenic ride along the St. Louis Riverfront Trail. The routes follow the Mississippi River; the longer route crosses the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and returns back. SAG support provided until 8:15 PM
Fees: FREE

Road Rides

Start: Alpine Shop; 440 N. Kirkwood Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122
Routes: Choices of 14 or 25 miles
Terrain: Moderately hilly with some bigger hills on the long route
Features: Bike ride for experienced riders through Kirkwood and Webster Groves with a challenging long route to Ballwin and Valley Park. No SAG support on these rides.
Fees: FREE

Wednesday Night
Hike It, Bike It or Cave It
May 21, June 18, July 16 and August 20, 2008
5:30 - 8:00 PM
Start: Cliff Cave Park; 806 Cliff Cave Road, St. Louis, MO 63129
Routes: 5-mile paved Mississippi River Trail (loop trail or choose your distance out and back) or the 1.4-mile spur trail
Features: The 5-mile Mississippi River Trail was paved in partnership with The Great Rivers Greenway District and St. Louis County Parks. Additional improvements in the park include a pavilion, river outlooks, restrooms and improved parking. Limited SAG support untill 8:00 PM.
Cave It: Explore the cave - the park's namesake. Pre-registration is required at 636/391-0912 x28 for the caving program. Equipment is provided to cavers, maximum numbr for the tour is 15. Be prepared to get wet, there is a spring in the cave and please wear old shoes.
Fees: FREE hike and bike; $5 charge per person for the cave tour

Road Rides

Start: Shaare Zedek Synagogue; 829 N Hanley, University City, MO 63130
Routes: Choose from 15 – 27 miles
Terrain: Moderately hilly, with a few big hills
Features: A ride for adults, on low traffic streets within the Central Metro Corridor, finishes before dark. Routes are marked, maps provided.
There is no SAG support on these rides. Join riders for informal food after the ride.

Start: Des Peres City Park parking lot, next to St. Paul’s Church;
823 N Ballas Road, St. Louis (one block east of I-270 at Manchester Road)
Routes: Choose from 16– 26 miles
Terrain: Moderately hilly with some bigger hills
Features: Challenging bike ride for adults on low traffic streets of Des Peres, Ladue, and Kirkwood. The route includes an ice cream stop. There is no SAG support on these rides.
