Project Jennifer Ride for Safety
The first-ever Project Jennifer Ride for Safety on Sunday, October 9, 2011 was a phenomenal success!
An hour after the last Trailnet Century rider took off, registration for the 20-mile Project Jennifer Ride for Safety began at the same spot. A crowd of cyclists and Cole family friends gathered and in the end, the Project Jennifer inaugural ride registered about 180 riders.
Project Jennifer, made up of Jennifer Cole’s friends, colleagues and fellow athletes, will continue to plan events and raise awareness for increased road safety for everyone. Dr. Cole, mother, pediatric anesthesiologist and athlete, was killed on July 2 while riding her bicycle.
Stay tuned to this web page and we will announce the proceeds of the ride. You can also join Project Jennifer on Facebook by clicking here.
Project Jennifer thanks St. Louis Children's Hospital, Trailnet, the St. Louis Triathlon Club, Big Shark, and the many volunteers who encouraged riders and helped make the ride safe and fun!
