The St. Louis bi-state area offers
incredible Active Living resources to the public including
over 120 walking, hiking and biking
trails and on-road bikeways throughout the
five-county area including, St. Louis City
and County and St. Charles County in Missouri
and Madison and St. Clair Counties in Illinois.
This section of our website provides detailed
information on these trail and bikeway resources.
Website visitors may search for trails using
our interactive regional locator map or by sorting
on the following trail attributes: name,
length, type (paved trail, unpaved trail
or paved on-road bikeway), uses (biking,
walking or equestrian), surface (asphalt,
concrete, crushed limestone, dirt or oil
and chip), terrain (flat, moderately hilly
or hilly) and county. Detailed information
is then provided for each trail or bikeway
using a standard presentation format, including
the attributes above, and attractions, connections,
link to Google maps for driving directions,
contact information and link to detailed
map, when available.
