2020 Bottleneck Bridge Ride

In accordance with the latest information on the spread of COVID-19, we are following the CDC’s guidelines for gatherings of 50 people or more and canceling all events for 8 weeks (March 13 – May 8). For the time being, all registration will be paused while we monitor the crisis.
We hope to host our full 2020 ride schedule, but we will prioritize the safety and health of our riders and the community.
This page and the event page on Facebook will be changed if any cancellation or postponement notices are made.

The Jefferson County Growth Association in Partnership with Trailnet is hosting our 5th annual Bottleneck Bridge Ride on August 16, 2020. The Bottleneck Bridge Ride presented by the Festus Tourism Commission will take you on a scenic tour through Jefferson County.
The ride will touch the streets of Festus, Missouri, Crystal City, Missouri, Herculaneum, Hillsboro, Missouri, Pevely, Missouri and De Soto, Missouri. The routes feature stops at Jefferson County’s local wineries and restaurants. They include Villa Antonio Winery, Wild Sun Winery, LaChance Vineyards, DeSoto Farmers Market, and The Russell House Restaurant and Inn. Also, don’t miss the historic Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site.

**** Kids Bike Races! ****
Beginning at 10:00 am we’ll have kids bike races along the start/finish on a completely closed Street. We’ll have categories starting with big wheels or tricycles all the way up to 12-year-olds on two-wheelers.

Main & Mill Brewing Company will be selling pulled pork slider plates for $5.00, from 11-3 p.m.
Live music will be playing from 12-3 p.m. Everyone is invited to join us for food, beverages, and music… Enjoy stopping by local business tents too, from 11 a.m. to 4p.m.
Day-of Registration and Check-In: 6:30 to 8:30 AM
Group Starts: 7:30 or 8:30 AM
Mileage: 10, 33, 41, 66 | Terrain: Rolling to very hilly on longer routes
**New for 2020 – Registration will open at 6:30 AM and closes at 8:30 AM. We will have two group starts. Riders can choose to depart in either a 7:30 or 8:30 AM group start.
At both starts we will encourage riders to be mindful of their own ability and comfort level when positioning themselves in the staging area. Group start etiquette and safety will also be covered in the rider briefing.
We may make additional changes based on potential severe weather conditions, with appropriate notification time before the rides. This allows our team to control traffic and escort all riders safely from the starting point.**
