A Conversation with City Leaders who Bike
Kick off 2020 with Trailnet CEO Cindy Mense in conversation with a panel of leaders who understand the keys to creating a transportation network that works for all.
Mike Weiss, Owner, Big Shark Bicycle Company and Big Shark Events, will talk about how safety on the streets—both real and perceived—is impacting bike shops, the people who ride bikes, and how he’s getting kids on bikes.
Scott Ogilvie, Transportation Policy Planner with the City of St. Louis, will share what St. Louis is doing to improve safety for people on bikes, including policy updates and the latest on new infrastructure.
Ann Falker, BJC, Clinical Nurse Specialist, expert cyclist and daily bike commuter, will talk about her experience riding on the streets of St. Louis.
Grab a UCBC beer with leaders in the St. Louis bike community for a lively conversation on the future of biking followed by a Q & A. Join us and help make St. Louis a Bike City through realistic transportation solutions. Registration is free, but seating is limited!

It is a ride intended for riders on road bikes, so hybrid and off-road bike riders will usually find their bikes’ wider tires make it hard to keep up the pace of the road bikes. There is no sag vehicle, but there is generally a shop-staff rider to help in case of mechanical trouble. Complimentary bagels and coffee served after the ride.
