Trailnet serves on several local and state government committees to represent the interests of people who walk, bike and take public transportation, including the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, Bicycle Implementation Group, St. Louis County’s Complete Streets Committee, and many more working groups and and project committees. We also educate the general public about how to get around by bus, bike, and foot, and national best practices for safer street designs. Our team monitors proposed biking and walking projects and policies, and updates the public about opportunities for people to add their voice. We meet with community leaders to discuss opportunities to advance walking and biking, emphasizing opportunities to connect a network of protected infrastructure and address high-crash corridors.
