Social Innovation in Missouri

SIM

Trailnet provided technical assistance on obesity prevention initiatives to seven rural and urban communities across the state from 2010-2013, funded by the Missouri Foundation for Health. As each community worked to create local programs that increase healthy eating and active living, Trailnet provided expertise in nutrition, food access, community engagement, strategic planning, Safe Routes to Schools, transportation planning, urban design, and policy advocacy. The Social Innovation for Missouri communities were St. Joseph, Independence, Lafayette County, Springfield, Putnam County, Knox County and Jennings School District in North St. Louis County.
