Kirkwood

Trailnet and the City of Kirkwood partnered in 2014 to create a Pedestrian Bicycle Master Plan. The plan provides a blueprint for the development of pedestrian and bicycle improvements throughout the community, making it safer and easier to reach local destinations, including parks, schools, transit, and commercial areas.

The planning team analyzed current conditions for walking and bicycling, and obtained residents’ input regarding walking and biking activities and their desires for future pedestrian and bicycle facilities. The final plan includes recommendations for improving conditions throughout the city to create a more interconnected, safe, and convenient network of sidewalks, paths, on-street bike facilities, and street crossings.

You can download the final plan here and review the posts below to learn more about the public engagement process.
