Free Weekly Road Ride: Kirkwood

FEATURES: The short route is an easy “no-drop ride” partly on Grant’s Trail. The long route is a challenging “drop-ride” for experienced cyclists and includes some difficult climbs.

FEATURES: This “no-drop” ride is for women only, especially for those new to road riding with traffic. Helmets are required and road bikes are highly recommended (hybrid and off-road bike riders may find the wider tires make it hard to keep up the pace of the road bikes). Routes are marked, maps will be provided.

TERRAIN: Moderately hilly, a few big hills

FEATURES: On roads in Webster Groves, Kirkwood, and Ladue, this ride is great for adult riders of all abilities on road bikes (wider tires on hybrids and off-road bikes may slow you down). It breaks up into smaller groups riding at speeds of 14-17 mph. Slower riders may be dropped. Helmets are required. Routes are marked, maps will be provided.
