Bike Smart Class: Traffic Skills 101
Join us as we host a FREE Bike Smart Class with the City of St. Charles, Parks and Recreation Department for the community. This Smart Cycling program is meant for individuals who are beginner or novice level riders looking to build confidence and competence in bicycling.
Between classroom discussions and on-road practice, we’ll educate students about the principles of vehicular-style bicycling and get comfortable riding in various climates, terrains, and traffic conditions. Be sure to bring your bike and a helmet!
Length of Program: 9 hours (with an hour break for lunch)
-4 hours of classroom instruction
-5 hours of hands on instruction
Bike Smart Classes for 2015
Would you like to feel more comfortable riding your bicycle on city streets? Do you want to reduce your carbon footprint by commuting by bike? Trailnet can help build your confidence by teaching you practical skills that make biking easier.
We will offer monthly Bike Smart classes the 4th Tuesday of each month from April through September. The classes will take place in Ritz Park on South Grand from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
